Zong has added more cities to its list of LBC or Location Based Charging offer. Zong’s LBC offer enable its customers to make unlimited on-net calls at Rs. 7 plus tax per day.
Now with addition of 4 more cities, there are total of 29 cities being offered with LBC charges.
This time Zong’s unlimited offer is for relatively bigger cities, a bold step i would say. Cities include:

So Zong customers residing in above mentioned cities will get unlimited on-net calls for Rs. 7 plus tax per day.
How to subscribe:
All new and MNP subscribers get free subscription for one month, meaning that they will get this free calling facility for no additional charge for first month.

Warid Telecom
Warid Telecom International is an Abu Dhabi based mobile telecommunication firm providing telephony services in Bangladesh, Congo, Pakistan and Uganda. Warid is expected to launch in the Ivory Coast and Georgia soon.
In 2004, Warid Telecom International LLC, purchased a license for operating a nationwide mobile telephony network, (WLL) and long distance international (LDI) for $291 million US dollars and was the first venture of Warid Telecom International LLC.
Warid Pakistan launched its services in May 2005. Within 80 days of launch Warid Pakistan claims to have attracted more than 1 million. users[5]. According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, currently Warid Telecom has 18.14 million subscribers as of July 2009. It is ranked as the fourth largest operator in Pakistan. Warid Pakistan claims it has the largest “post-paid” subscriber base in Pakistan.
On June 30, 2007, Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) and Warid Telecom announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement subsequent to which SingTel will acquire a 30 per cent equity stake in Warid Telecom for an estimated $758 million — valuing the company at an enterprise value of $2.9 billion.

Mobilink :

‘Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited’, better known as ‘Mobilink GSM’, is a telecommunication service provider in Pakistan. According to PTA statistics, Mobilink has 29.55 million customers by July 2009. Mobilink’s Head office is located at Mobilink House, 1-A Kohistan Road, F-8 Markaz Islamabad.
Mobilink started operations in 1994 as the first GSM cellular Mobile service in Pakistan by MOTOROLA Inc.,[citation needed] later it was sold to Orascom, an Egypt-based multi-national company.
Mobilink is the largest cellular service provider in Pakistan. Mobilink’s corporate postpaid package is sold under the brand name “Indigo” and prepaid by the name of “Jazz”.
In addition to cellular service, the Orascom group is diversifying its service portfolio by setting up new businesses and also expanding through acquisitions. Recently, they started offering DSL broadband through a wholy owned subsidiary, Link.Net. Company is in place for launch of wireless broadband service through WiMax based technology.
With a soft launch on 1 July 2008, Mobilink is now the second WIMAX internet service provider in Pakistan. Currently providing services only in Karachi.
WiMax services will be sold under the brand name “Mobilink Infinity”. Technology is backed by Alcatel, and company is using a ZYXEL Customer Premises equipment.
In addition to Mobilink, the Orascom group also owns TWA (Trans World Associates) which operates an undersea fiber optic cable from Karachi to Fujairah, UAE.

Ufone
Ufone GSM is a Pakistani GSM cellular service provider. It is one of six GSM Mobile companies in Pakistan and is a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company. It has a subscriber base of 20.05 million as of July 2009. It is currently owned by United Arab Emirates based Etisalat.
Introduction
The company commenced its operations under the brand name of Ufone from Islamabad on January 29 2001. Ufone expanded its coverage and has added new cities and highways to its coverage network.

PTML is a wholly owned subsidiary of PTCL. established to operate cellular telephony. The company commenced its operations, under the brand name of Ufone from Islamabad on January 29 2001.
During the year, as a consequence of PTCL’s privatization, 26% of its shares were acquired by Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat). Being part of PTCL, the management of Ufone has also been handed over to Etisalat. During the year July 2005 to June 2006, further expanded its coverage and has added new cities and highways. Ufone has network coverage in more than 750 cities, towns and across all major highways of the country.
During the year Ufone completed the network expansion of Phase 4 in existing as well as in new cities and towns which amounted to more than US Dollar 170 million. As a result the asset base of the Company has increased from Rs. 20 billion to Rs. 27 billion.
